OUR STORY

Captain Property originated from a simple but consequential observation: acquiring property in Uganda is far more difficult than it should be. Listings are frequently inaccurate. Agents are often impossible to verify. Fraud is common. And for Ugandans living abroad who wish to invest at home, the barriers are greater still.

We posed a straightforward question: what would a property platform look like if it were designed, from first principles, around trust?

The Market We Serve

Uganda's real estate market is among the most dynamic and fast-growing in East Africa. Demand for housing, commercial space, and land is rising steadily across Kampala and the country's secondary cities. Yet the infrastructure for matching buyers and sellers, tenants and landlords, has not kept pace. In practice, this has meant:

  • Listings posted online that bore little resemblance to the actual property;
  • No reliable means for a buyer or renter to verify who they were dealing with before committing;
  • Diaspora investors with no dependable way to explore and transact in the market from abroad;
  • Property owners with no professional channel through which to reach serious, vetted buyers and tenants.

What We Set Out to Build

We set out to address these problems at their root. Captain Property is not merely a listing platform; it is a trust infrastructure for Ugandan real estate.

We built verification into the core of the platform — for agents, for listings, and for property owners. We designed the experience to serve users in Uganda and abroad in equal measure. And we made it comprehensive enough to accommodate every category of property and development, so that clients need not look elsewhere.

Where We Are Today

Captain Property is currently in active development. The marketing platform is live, and the full listing web application and mobile applications are in progress. We are building deliberately and with care — because in a market that has been let down before, getting the foundations right matters more than moving quickly.

The path ahead includes the launch of our full property listing platform, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and a growing network of verified agents and property owners across Uganda. We are building for the long term — for the Uganda of today, and for the Uganda of the next decade.
